Regina Nay is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 20 years of experience in mental health counseling, clinical supervision, wellness, education, and personal development. Her professional background combines clinical experience with a broad understanding of the emotional, relational, behavioral, and life experiences that influence well-being.

Her experience includes psychotherapy, clinical assessments, psychosocial evaluations, treatment planning, crisis intervention, clinical supervision, and the development of therapeutic programs. She has also worked in corporate training, higher education, fitness and wellness leadership, and media, including serving as a therapist and consultant on A&E’s television program *Psychic Kids*.

A Miami native with Latin heritage, Regina values the importance of relationships, personal connection, and understanding each individual’s background and life experiences. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping people develop the insight, confidence, and practical skills needed to create meaningful change.

Regina’s therapeutic approach emphasizes understanding the whole person rather than focusing exclusively on symptoms. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, behavioral challenges, relationship difficulties, and significant life transitions.

She has extensive experience conducting clinical assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing psychotherapy, and evaluating progress toward therapeutic goals. Her background in clinical supervision and quality assurance also informs her appreciation for thoughtful assessment, ethical practice, and individualized care.

Regina has experience with heart-centered hypnosis and is continuing her professional development through clinical hypnosis training. She is also working toward Amen Method certification and plans to begin EMDR certification training.

Her approach is tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and readiness for change, with an emphasis on creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care.

Regina has experience providing couples and family counseling, helping people navigate communication difficulties, relationship stress, family dynamics, and recurring interpersonal challenges.

Her couples counseling experience includes the Gottman Method approach. She emphasizes communication, emotional awareness, mutual understanding, and practical strategies for managing conflict and strengthening connection.

Her goal is to help couples better understand their relationship patterns, develop healthier ways of interacting, and build more fulfilling relationships.

Regina’s experience includes crisis intervention, case management, and crisis management counseling with R3 Continuum. Her professional background has involved supporting people through difficult circumstances, evaluating needs, coordinating services, and developing strategies to address complex challenges.

She understands that stress can affect multiple areas of life, including relationships, work, health, and emotional functioning. Her approach emphasizes building resilience, identifying personal strengths, developing effective coping strategies, and helping individuals move forward through challenging experiences.

Regina recognizes that trauma and loss can profoundly shape how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Her approach to healing is compassionate, individualized, and grounded in the understanding that each person’s journey through grief is unique.

Having personally experienced the devastating loss of her son, Regina understands that grief is not simply something to overcome, but a deeply personal journey that can change the way we see life, love, and our sense of purpose. Her own path through loss, healing, and self-discovery has deepened her empathy and strengthened her commitment to helping others navigate grief, process difficult experiences, and rediscover meaning as they move forward.

She strives to create a supportive space where individuals can honor their losses, explore their emotions without judgment, and gradually reconnect with hope, resilience, and the possibilities that remain ahead. Her approach recognizes that healing does not mean forgetting or returning to who we once were; it can mean learning to carry our experiences while creating a life that feels meaningful and authentic.

Raised in the Catholic faith, Regina’s personal spiritual journey has expanded through years of study, reflection, and exploration of diverse spiritual traditions and institutions. Through these experiences, she has developed an appreciation for the many ways people seek connection, meaning, and understanding beyond themselves.

Regina believes that spirituality can be a valuable source of grounding, strength, comfort, and hope during life’s most challenging seasons. For some, this connection is rooted in an organized religion; for others, it may come through nature, meditation, personal reflection, a sense of universal connection, or simply believing in something greater than themselves.

Her perspective is inclusive and respectful of each person’s individual beliefs, recognizing that spirituality does not have to look the same for everyone. When meaningful to the individual, exploring spiritual beliefs and sources of connection can become part of a broader journey toward healing, self-awareness, and personal growth.

Ultimately, Regina encourages people to discover what brings them a sense of peace, purpose, and belonging—while honoring their own values and defining their path in a way that feels genuine to them.

Regina’s background in health coaching, fitness and wellness program development, yoga, breathwork, and personal growth informs her whole-person perspective on well-being.

She has also trained in freediving with world-record freediver Pipin Ferreras, learning diaphragmatic breathing techniques that can be used to support relaxation, breath awareness, and stress management.

As a former collegiate athlete, Regina understands the role that mindset, discipline, focus, and resilience can play in performance and personal development.

Her experience coaching high school girls has included helping them strengthen their mindset, build confidence, navigate challenges, and develop skills that support both athletic performance and personal growth.

These experiences have shaped her appreciation for the relationship between mental preparation, emotional regulation, self-belief, and the ability to work through setbacks. She values helping people recognize their strengths, develop confidence, and approach challenges with greater awareness and resilience.

Regina brings extensive experience in teaching, training, and professional development. Her background includes teaching psychology, speech, and professional development courses; advising college students; training faculty and staff; developing educational programs; and facilitating workshops focused on stress management, motivation, career development, and personal growth.

She has also held leadership roles involving program development, staff supervision, operational management, quality improvement, and team development.

In addition, her experience hosting radio programming and working as a therapist and consultant on A&E’s *Psychic Kids* strengthened her ability to communicate complex concepts in accessible ways and connect with diverse audiences.

Regina enjoys helping individuals develop practical skills, navigate life transitions, strengthen communication, and build healthier, more fulfilling personal and professional lives.
